This bridge is perfect for what we needed! I recently had to make our run-off shallow ditch into a moat to prevent the recent flash floods from taking out my yard again. So we needed a bridge to get us, but more importantly, the riding mower across the moat. Of course, I read all the reviews and weight requirements and even though the bridge is not rated to handle quite that much weight it was really my only option for what I wanted to spend. I was counting on the fact that the smaller 4 ft bridge would never really have the full weight of the mower on it for more than even a second. So far, so good. My husband has ridden the mower across it several times and it does not seem affected at all. At least not yet. It is well-crafted and the wood is beautiful. If it does eventually start to give under the pressure of the mower I will probably replace it with the same exact one. But I would be surprised.
